First Nike Factory Store In Kansas Opens
Company Donates $5,000 to Boys and Girls Club of Kansas City

The Legends at Village East in Kansas City, Kansas is now the new owner of the newest Nike Factory Store. "Nike is very proud to open our newest Factory Store at the Legends atVillage West Outlet mall. This center attracts a great cross section ofconsumers from surrounding areas. In return, we're able to create full-andpart-time jobs and, through our community involvement, provide support tokids in the Kansas City area," said Ed Stair, Nike Factory Store GeneralManager.

The $5,000 dollars donated to the Wyandotte County Boys & Girls Club. This was part of the NikeGo programed, which is aimed at getting kids around america more physically active. On hand at the grand opening and was there to recieve the gracious donation, was Boys and Girls Club president David Smith. "We are very excited to have Nike joining us in Wyandotte County. TheBoys & Girls Clubs have a strong relationship with Nike and share ourvision of healthy, active children. We are honored to benefit from thisgrand opening and we look forward to many opportunities to partner togetherto benefit the youth and families in Wyandotte County," said Smith.

Season of The Tiger Soon To Hit BET Airwaves
Grambling State University Football and Marching Band Are Exposed in Docu-Drama

BET is launching a new series that is sure to grasp an ever growing teen audience with their new college based show. Season of the Tiger is slated to premire on April 27. The "docu-drama" is based on the lives of 6 people that are carrying on the Grambling tradition of championship football teams and marching band excellence. If you didn't know, Grambling State is an institution that is headlined not only by there powerhouse football team , which as won 12 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) championships, but as well as there world renouned marching band, Mighty Tiger Marching Band . Mancel, Eva, Blue, Bruce and Shunnie are the stars of this highly anticpated show. They are going to provided an in- depth look into the world of championship quailty teams while balancing an education and not letting one excel while allowing the other to fall. They will allow you to see what a 4 am practice looks like in the eyes of players and 12 am marching band practices with the legendary Band director Doc .

"The cast includes: Shunnie, the female master drill sergeant of the band who continually has to fight for respect. Her goal is to become the first female drum major in HBCU history.

Eva, a homesick freshman and the only girl on the drumline. Her goal in life is to be a rapper and she's involved with another member of the drumline on the down low.

Mancell, a white sax player in the band who has been kicked out of school and subsequently the band over a possession bust. His life is the band and his dream is to become a band director.

Bruce, the star quarterback from the 'hood with his eyes on an NFL career. But Bruce is coming off a season-ending knee injury, his father is in jail and his home was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina.

Blue, a junior walk-on running back who also has hopes of making the NFL. He's the team's practical joker and is also the father of a newborn who lives with his baby's mama."

The founder of one of the greatest magazines to ever be printed is celebrating his 80th birthday in style. On April 7th, Mr. Hefner held a classy night of cocktails and "Casablanca". The screening of "Casablanca Nights", Hef's fav, is becoming an annual pastime. Then April 8th was filled with party, party , party!
